We are thrilled to announce that Ana Rita Pena, a member of the 2019 cohort, has successfully completed her PhD!
Supervised by Derek McAuley, Simon Preston and Alex Lang, Rita’s thesis is entitled A Sociotechnical Evaluation of Differentially Private Risk Assessment Models in Consumer Credit.
In addition to her academic achievements, Rita was awarded the EPSRC Horizon CDT Impact Grant, which she is using for her project on Trust and contextualisation of financial circumstances on payment default prediction. Her work reflects an incredible blend of technical expertise and real-world impact.
Rita’s perseverance and commitment have been truly inspiring, and we are so proud to celebrate this milestone with her.
On behalf of the Horizon CDT, we congratulate Dr Rita Pena on this remarkable achievement and wish her every success in her next endeavours!
