We are proud that researchers from two Horizon projects have been invited to showcase at the major EPSRC event Connected Nation: Thriving in a Digital World. It is to be held on Tuesday 8 December 2015, in partnership with the Digital Catapult and the Knowledge Quarter. This invitation-only event is targeted at businesses and policy stakeholders and will feature an interactive research exhibition and themed discussions around the challenges for securing a safe and thriving Connected Nation.
James Goulding will be exhibiting on the EPSRC-funded Neodemographics project, opening developing markets via big data and collaboration. The team is working with a range of data providers in emerging economies to investigate what market knowledge can be derived from digital footprint data, changing the way in which we think of market intelligence.
Brendan Walker will be demonstrating his work on how biosensing technologies can enhance thrilling experiences across the entertainment sector. Read Brendan’s blog post on Broadcasting Experience in a Digital Economy in which he explains how this research is beginning to have real impact on the entertainment sector, particularly in television.
