This project seeks to develop and evolve a “toolkit” that will enable crowdsourcing applications to be developed synergistically with the ongoing work on Personal Containers and the thematic projects within Transport and Creative Visiting. This toolkit and the applications that are developed with it will also allow Horizon to increase understanding of crowdsourcing itself. In addition to technical outputs, the project aims to consider psychological perspectives on incentives and barriers to participation in crowd sourcing, and also to explore possible interaction paradigms for crowdsourcing activities (e.g. the visibility or otherwise of a shared context/view).
