Led by Peter Craigon, this project will examine possible futures of supply chains to consider digital sustainability scenarios in the textile and fashion industry. Using as an example, wool production in the UK to demonstrate challenges in the supply chain to reimagining uses for currently undervalued, natural biodegradable materials.
It will bring together industry stakeholders (farmers, fashion experts, technologists, policymakers) to co-design ‘objects from the future’ and conduct anticipatory evaluation into how new forms of data sharing and collaboration might generate digital good for multiple actors in various future scenarios.
This project is funded by the ESRC Digital Good Network and runs from 1/10/24 through to 31/3/2025
