University of Nottingham academics Elvira Perez Vallejos, Professor of Digital Technology For Mental Health and Horizon’s Assistant Professor, Neelima Sailaja, recently participated in a ‘Builders of Better AI: Responsible AI Hackathon’ in Delhi India.
The Hackathon was held in collaboration with Responsible Ai UK and partnered Technovation. Taking place at at the Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi, the event supported empowering young women to step into the world of artificial intelligence, emphasising the importance of responsible use of technology and AI.
The event commenced with presentations from Tara Chklovski Technovation, Elvira Perez Vallejos Horizon Digital Economy Research and Responsible Ai UK and Deepak Prince Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi. Prompt and Practice cards, developed in collaborative research between Horizon and the Trustworthy Autonomous Systems (TAS) Hub (hoRRIzon 1.0, 2.0 & 3.0) were introduced in a facilitated session to support these future leaders consider how innovation can make a difference while keeping responsibility at the very core.
