UnBias at MozFest 2017

Join the UnBias project team at MozFest this weekend.

In addition to running a stall as part of the Privacy/Security session, which will include videos, slides, posters and activities for people to join in (a magnetic word puzzle, activity cards and experience flip-chart), Dr Ansgar Koene, Senior Research Fellow at Horizon will lead a public engagement session ‘Algorithmically Mediated Online Information Access (AMOIA). The session will  commence with a mini-experiment followed by an interactive audience discussion, addressing the role of recommender algorithms in hoaxes and fake news and unintended algorithmic discrimination on the web.
