The University of Nottingham is looking to recruit three Research Associate/Fellows to enhance the successful and growing School of Computer Science, and contribute to a new £6.5M research programme in “Somabotics: Creatively Embodying Artificial Intelligence”, funded by UKRI and led by Professor Steve Benford.

Three research fellows, one in each of the following areas:

  • RF 1: Creative AI, for example models that enable interactive touch and live improvisation.
  • RF 2: Soft robotics and interactive materials to augment robot and human bodies.
  • RF 3:  Artist-led methods in HCI and embodied HCI, for example soma design.

These are 3 year fixed term positions. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours); however applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 18.25 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part time and the number of preferred hours. Job share arrangements may be considered.
